Harmonik microphone systems are made for the accordion player in technology and design. The mics are especially made for accordion frequencies. Ease of use is made for the player to plug in and play.
All Harmonik microphone models use a 9-volt battery. The battery is only on when the lead is plugged in (the blue battery light in the grill will be on). Generally, your battery should last you about 12 months, give or take how much you use it.
It is not too critical therefore, to have an external battery compartment fitted. However, it does make it much easier to change the battery when you do have to. If you would like a battery compartment fitted into the base of your accordion, please ask when ordering your unit.
This option is now available for the added cost of $90.00
It is sometimes a tight fit and not always available to install for every model, depending on internal space of the bass mechanism.
The two top of the line Harmonik units - the AC5001-FX and AC5001-FS - do use more battery power than normal. For this reason, Harmonik have introduced a rechargable battery system, which will charge up the internal battery. The rechargable battery will give you much longer performance and convenience. It lasts up to 3 times longer than a regular battery and supports 500 to 1000 recharge cycles. Recharging is simple - just plug into the P4 plug.
The onboard battery indicator glows red when the battery has approximately 5 hours of usage left. When charging is complete the charger will switch off. Green light means battery is fully charged.
The optional Harmonik rechargable battery unit is suitable for the AC5001-FX and FS microphone units, and is $249.00
